Parents thinking they are the most important people….
Because they have a child. I’m all for babies. Have one, I don’t mind! But, you’re life is not suddenly worth more than mine just because you have reproduced. Reproducing is not new. You’re not special because you did so. You are special for you just as much as I am special for me… We shouldn’t think that our inherent worth is dependant on anyone else, even if that person is incredibly special to you and is your child. Our lives are very different, our responsibilities differ greatly - that’s true. But, there’s no real reason why my individual life is worth less than yours.
